In close partnership with the school community, HOFTC provides after-school enrichment programming on-site. We work with many amazing locally owned businesses to deliver a diverse menu of classes for families to choose from.

We offer 4 Sessions per school year,

with a variety of class options, from visual arts to sports to STEM, and much more.

Multiple classes per day help support families' unique schedules while giving kids the variety they love.

We offer a great variety of classes for you to choose from. Pick a class or classes that your child will enjoy and sign up!

  • HOFTC is not a licensed childcare provider

  • There is no after-school enrichment classes on SPS non-school days.

  • Not all activities will be offered for all ages in every session.

  • Unless otherwise indicated, all ages are welcome to join any class. Kids will be divided into appropriate age groups daily.

  • Pricing by class type and time varies, as detailed in the current session offerings.
    Note: Partner-led classes are typically sold at a higher price than HOFTC-led classes.

1on1 Sports: After-School Hoops

(1st-5th Grade, Min 10/Max 18)

Join One on One for All-Sport Class this coming session. Skilled and experienced instructors will conduct an exciting and productive session each week right after school. We will learn the strategies and motor-skills of various sports and games while playing games and scrimmages. Great fun, great camaraderie, and great exercise! Have fun playing all of your favorite sports and games, including: Basketball, Soccer, Kickball, Capture the Flag, Line Tag, Ultimate Frisbee, and more!

Bilingual Kids Seattle: Spanish Language!

(K-5th Grade, Min 10/Max 18)

Have you ever wanted to provide your child with the opportunity of being bilingual? Students will learn and practice the second most commonly spoken language in the U.S. while benefiting from language learner outcomes such as support for higher academic achievement and the development of cognitive skills. Additionally, learning a new language gives students a greater global understanding of our world and access to another culture to see things from a new perspective. This is an immersion class consisting of language instruction in an academic setting which follows an innovative, dynamic and well-researched curriculum.

Bricks 4 Kidz: Under the Sea

(K-3rd Grade, Min 8/Max 14)

Explore the oceans with Bricks 4 Kidz! Construct a submarine with motorized LEGO® bricks and discover all the wildlife that's hidden under the sea. We will build jumping dolphins, chomping sharks, majestic sea turtles and more. Let's dive right in!

CraftLab Seattle: Spring Has Sprung

(K-5th Grade, Min 8/Max 12)

Join us for a joyful and creative class celebrating the wonders of the season! As nature awakens, we'll explore the beauty of spring through exciting hands-on activities, and creative crafts like making paper flowers, creating butterflies from watercolor and learning to draw shapes from shadows. Perfect for kids who love to create, explore, and have fun! Come celebrate the season of renewal with CraftLab Seattle!

HOFTC: Choose Your Own Adventure

(All Ages, MTRF Max 16, Wed Max 24)

Would your child like to join friends for an organized active game led by one of our experienced counselors? Would they prefer to play an indoor board game or card game? How about solo time to color or work on homework? Maybe they just need some less-structured free-time on the playground or field (rain or shine!) after school to burn off excess energy and engage in free play. We offer all of those options! Choose Your Own Adventure allows each child to recharge after school in their own way, without screens and with proper supervision.

HOFTC: Gaga Ball + HOF Games

(Min 8/Max 16)

Can’t get enough Gaga Ball? Play every week while mixing in some other summer camp favorites such as 9-Square, Castle Ball, and dodgeball games! Newcomers will learn the games and improve their skills, while seasoned players can get their competitive juices flowing.

Kids Carpentry Seattle

(K-5th Grade, Min 5/Max 8)

Kids' Carpentry is a hands-on toy building experience designed to teach kids practical woodworking skills with an emphasis on the safe use of hand tools. While kids construct fun and exciting projects, they are also empowered to become independent thinkers--building confidence, self-esteem, and a repertoire of practical skills that will last them a lifetime. At the end of the session kids will bring home one or more wooden games or toys that they have built by hand from scratch.

Kodely: Circuit Creators—Snap Circuits

(K-5th Grade, Min 8/Max 25)

Students will explore the fundamentals of electrical engineering through hands-on Snap Circuits projects. They will build circuits that power lights, fans, and even mini sound systems, discovering how electricity flows in a fun and engaging way! Students will: 1) Build Working Circuits – Create simple and complex circuits using Snap Circuits. 2) Experiment with Conductivity – Test how different materials impact circuits. 3) Discover Real-World Applications – Explore how circuits are used in everyday devices.

Kodely: LED Circuitry Explorers

(K-5th Grade, Min 8/Max 25)

Students will dive into the exciting world of electric circuits by creating glowing art, interactive greeting cards, and simple wearable tech. Students will: 1) Learn Basic Circuitry – Build light-up projects using LEDs, batteries, and copper tape. 2) Combine Art & Technology – Design glowing artwork and interactive paper circuits. 3) Experiment & Innovate – Solve real-world problems through hands-on electrical projects.

Kong Academy: Parkour

(K-2nd Grade, Min 6/Max 12)

Get ready for an adventurous journey in Social Awareness, Relationships, and Responsible Decision-Making Skills. The Kong Academy program empowers kids physically, socially, and emotionally through: play, games, and parkour-based movement. Join us as your kids unlock their social superpowers through fitness-focused games and movement-based adventures. They'll dive into a world of teamwork, navigating challenges that foster social awareness and build positive relationships.

MathNStuff: Magic: The Gathering

(3rd-8th Grade, Min 6/Max 12)

Math 'n' Stuff’s after school Magic is an enrichment program that teaches strategy, community building, and complex problem solving through the Magic: the Gathering collectible card game! Magic: the Gathering is a card-based strategy game that combines elements of both chess and poker in which each player brings their own pieces to the game and chooses their own strategy to enact. This program will be accessible for both new and experienced players. New wizards to the program will start with a Math 'n' Stuff-provided deck to duel their friends. Magic requires the practices of real-time reading, probability, arithmetic, and problem-solving skills. Playing also fosters communication, social-emotional skills, and inter-personal connection.

Orangutan Chess: Chess Club

(K-8th Grade, Min 8/Max 22)

Chess Club is a community for new and experienced students to learn together, including checkmate patterns, tactics, openings, strategy, chess notation, chess history, famous games, local chess events, how to play in chess tournaments, different ways to play chess (variants), how to create a chess variant and more! ChessKid.com gold memberships are provided to all club members for 24/7 access to puzzles, lessons, and games. OCA has instructed multiple Washington State Chess Champions since 2017. Because younger students frequently have shorter attention spans, OCA offers 10-15 minutes of optional “wind down” time at the end of the club with non-chess videos like TED educational cartoons or the award-winning Shaun the Sheep.

Seattle Dance Fitness: Hip Hop Kids

(K-4th Grade, Min 5/Max 15)

Hip Hop Kids Dance Fitness classes (aka Hip Hop Kids) feature kid-friendly routines based on original hip hop and pop choreography. We break down the steps and add games and other activities into the class structure. Plenty of time to FREESTYLE too! Think of this class as a weekly after school DANCE PARTY! Hip Hop Kids helps to develop a healthy lifestyle and incorporate fitness as a natural part of children’s lives by making fitness fun! Classes incorporate key childhood development elements like leadership, respect, teamwork, confidence, self-esteem, memory, creativity, coordination, and cultural awareness.

Seattle Magic Academy: Discover Magic! GREEN Wand Course

(1st-5th Grade, Min 10/Max 20)

Get ready to take an amazing adventure into the exciting world of magic! Join the Seattle Magic Academy with their very popular magic class! Learn how to teleport objects across the room, find hidden magical treasures, levitate a cup of popcorn, plus many more! The 4 different wand color courses offered can be taken in any order, and all the magic is different in each course. Students gain communication skills and self-confidence in these magic classes. Students will receive all the magic tricks taught in the course, “secret” file folders, access to an online video vault to revisit everything being taught, and more surprises.

 

Strategic Kids: Paper Airplanes and Aerodynamics

(1st-4th Grade, Min 6/Max 18)

Paper Airplanes and Aerodynamics is a fun and exciting class where children will learn the art of making paper airplanes, boomerangs, gliders and more. Every student will receive an instruction sheet on what was covered that day. They will learn the physics of flight concepts, create and race different types of airplanes. They will take projects home after every class!

 

Tabletop Village: Pokémon Club

(2nd-6th Grade, Min 8/Max 18)

By providing lessons for children to trade and learn how to play the Pokémon Trading Card Game, your children will learn how to contextualize their reading and math skills, long term strategic thinking and planning, how to make fair and equitable trades, and how to be a kind and sportsmanlike competitor. Our certified Pokémon Professors will provide, decks for children to play with (all levels of play) among - other materials, teaching materials and educational games (Pokécatch, Attach and Attack, Raid Battles, etc.), and high-quality lessons/presentations on how to play Pokémon TCG.
